Campsite near Jard-sur-Mer

As soon as you arrive at the 4-star campsite La Grand’ Métairie, do not hesitate to ask at the reception to get to know the most beautiful sites in the Pays de la Loire and the ways to visit the Vendée. Start your exploration with the Côte de Lumière and the beaches of Jard-sur-Mer (Boisvinet beach, La Mine beach). Suspend time by marvelling at the Bay of Biscay and the Atlantic Ocean. Also look at the Marina and its Moulin de Conchette which overlooks the developed dikes. With your children, you can enjoy this place during the day or at night during the summer night market organised on Thursday evening or at the time of the fireworks fired in July and August. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy water activities such as kitesurfing or jet skiing. If you are more interested in hiking and visiting, you can admire the small heritage of the seaside resort on foot or by bike: the royal abbey of Notre-Dame de Lieu-Dieu built in the 12th century by Richard Cœur de Lion; the Romanesque church of Sainte-Radégonde and the chapel of Saint-Anne dating from the 17th century. Passing through the pine forest along the sea, you can take the Circuit de Ragnette to reach Georges Clémenceau’s house in Saint Vincent sur Jard.
